Our Services

WD Recovery and Wellness Center is unique among treatment centers in offering not just Partial Hospital (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Programs, but a full continuum of care that supports patients well beyond the PHP stay. This comprehensive range of services —which includes swapping addictions, sexual and sexuality issues is tailored for each patient and with her referring therapist to develop treatment plans and goals based on his or her unique needs.

WD Recovery and Wellness Center maintains continuity in philosophy and approach throughout the individual’s treatment, while facilitating timely transitions from one level of care to another in order to maximize treatment and insurance benefits.

Men, Women, and gender variations vary in terms of symptoms, age, cultural experience, sexual and gender identity. WD Recovery and Wellness Center strives to identify the common themes in all people’s stories that are inclusive stories, as well as acknowledge the profound differences. WD is a SAFE Place for all no matter what one’s gender identity, we are inclusive.

Our Specialized Programming focuses on the specific developmental, cultural and spiritual needs of our patients and provides a unique opportunity for individuals from diverse backgrounds to come together, share their stories and help one another find the strength and confidence to change and take control of their lives.



We offer Partial Hospital Program five days per week, (9am to 3pm) with the family day sessions on Saturday (10am – 2:30pm). Day Treatment is designed for adults, men and women leaving inpatient or residential care, or direct admission into the program who require additional structure in order to continue their recovery.



WD Recovery and Wellness Centers Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an innovative and dynamic treatment option developed particularly for adults? men and women who need a strong adjunct to outpatient therapy to support their recovery.

Specialized Treatment of Swapping Addictions:

    • Provides groups designed to educate Adults about the complex connection between eating disorders, substance abuse, sex, sexual abuse and self-Harm, and develops skills necessary for a comprehensive recovery.


    • Employs a Steps treatment approach, designed to meet an adult at his or her particular level of readiness, given that men and women with addictions with co-occurring problems come into treatment at different levels of readiness to change. This assures that individual is able to take the necessary sequential steps toward recovery.


    • Provides a safe place for honest self-exploration about the impact of addictions use on one’s life through educational, experiential and skill development groups, in addition to AA, NA. OA, SA, EDA, and ANAD participation.

We Treat Eating Disorders at WD Recovery and Wellness Center



Many forms of eating disorders are described as severe disturbances in compensatory eating behaviors. For many individuals, the eating disorder is a means of survival creating a system of nurturance & self-care. The eating disorder feels like your nature. Individuals with eating disorders can use food to control unwanted or painful feelings, memories, or traumas and purging or restricting foods or groups of food types to deal with their unwanted problems. You recognize the eating disorder comes from a controlling voice which most people call “the eating disorder voice”.

We Treat Personality Disorders at WD Recovery and Wellness Center



Everyone’s personality is unique. Personalities develop as people go through different life experiences. Most people are flexible enough to learn from past experiences and to change their behaviour when needed. Someone with a personality disorder, however, finds it much harder to control their behaviour. They experience extreme thoughts and feelings – so intense, they have trouble coping with day-to-day life. They act in ways they can’t control, and struggle to relate to situations and people. Internal Family System Therapy



Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) is a unique approach to psychotherapy that helps you connect with the different parts of yourself, or your “inner family.” Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, IFS is based on the idea that we all have multiple parts within us, each with their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By getting to know and work with these parts, we can heal from emotional wounds and transform our inner world.



Post-traumatic anger becomes maladaptive interfering with individuals’ ability to adapt and or cope. Anger is a fundamental and safe core emotion of a child or adult survivor’s response to trauma because of the betrayal and losing basic trust. Anger is a core feature of the trauma survival response in men and women. Therefore, the anger is a safe and a less vulnerable feeling that can be expressed as an emotion helping individual’s cope with vulnerable and fearful situations.

We Treat Sex Addiction at WD Recovery and Wellness Center



Your sexual desires, thoughts, and behavior are problematic. You are preoccupied with sexual fantasies. Your fantasies are not frivolous. They can be entertaining, distracting, frightening, and arousing. Your fantasies help you plan for your future. We mistake fantasies for reality or let them become rigid. Your sexual fantasies provide you a necessary escape from the here and now. You have sexual urges and act on them.

Gamblers have superstitions, developing routines like blowing on dice, having a lucky number, table, and machine.

Alcohol Addiction is a complex issue characterized by intense and at times, uncontrollable cravings and controlling thoughts. The cravings, along with compulsive alcohol seeking and use that persist despite devastating consequences. Most addictive alcohol behavior is not related to either physical tolerance or exposure to triggers. People commonly use alcohol compulsively in reaction to stress. Alcohol Addiction is when you drink alcohol that can be pleasurable but the continuation of your drinking which becomes compulsive interfering with daily responsibilities such as work, relationships, and your health. Most people with an alcohol addiction may not be aware that their behavior is out of control.

Approximately 25 percent of individuals who suffer from eating disorders, alcohol and Substance use addictions also participate in self-harming behavior. In and of itself the practice of an eating disorders and addictions could also be considered self-harming behavior. Self-harm is defined as the act of causing self-injury to one’s own body. Self-harm is also referred to as self-injury, self-abuse, self-inflicted violence, self-mutilation and para-suicide. Similar to eating disordered behavior and addictions, the self-harming behavior is participated in to help the individual cope with, take control of, block out and release unwanted feelings and emotions.
